Mrs. McKibben was born in Macon and was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Beatrice Osborne Cheney and the widow of James H. McKibben . She graduated from A. L. Miller High School and attended and received her B.A. degree from Georgia State College for Women. Mrs. McKibben worked as a Professional Girl Scout official for four years and directed the first Girl Scout Day Camp at Wesleyan College. She was a member of Vineville Baptist Church, the W.M.U. and the Friendship Sunday School Class.
Mrs. McKibben is survived by her daughter, Patricia McKibben Prewett of Macon; grandchildren, Amy Prewett of Richmond, VA and Matt Prewett of Tampa, FL; sister, Patricia C. Fackler of Rome, GA; sister-in-law, Esther Cheney Bolton of Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
