Lt, Frank I. Folsom. A veteran of 70 flight missions and winner of the distinguished flying cross, Lieutenant Folsom was killed in the Mediterranean area while on a bombardment mission. In addition to the D.F.C , the flier, who was the flight leader of his bombardment group in Italy, had also won the air medal with eight oak leaf clusters. Lieutenant Folsom, a graduate of Calumet high school, first saw action overseas with the air force last May. Surviving him are his parents, Police Officer and Mrs. Frank Folsom.
