Son of Dr. Samuel & Elizabeth Brown Langdon.
Paul was enlisted as a matross in 1777 in Col. Crane's regiment of artillery and was at the Battle of Monmouth.
A private in Massachusetts Line & before the revolution in the 3rd Hampshire County regiment under Captain William Knox.
He was a graduate of Harvard and settled in the Town of Wethersfield in 1818. Paul married Mary Kimball on June 28, 1781 in Fryeburg, Maine.
