On the day he died this was where his unit was...between Oberüttfeld and Niederüttfeld Germany in Uttfeld. The findagrave wouldn't let put anything in but Niederüttfeld.
"To the north the 90th Infantry Division overran a German regimental command post located southeast of Kesfeld. They also captured Masthorn, Over - Uttfield and Nieder - Uttfield. Division relieved partial elements of the 5th Infantry Division, other units advanced toward the junction of the Sauer and Prüm Rivers.
