He enlisted in the Army Air Corp on August 21, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed as a Driver and also as Married to Ruth Amelia Damuth

He was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded a Purple Heart. Shot down returning from bombing mission, over France, crashing into the Enlish Channel.
