Natoli C(Carlo ?) De Pinto was born as the second child to Marie and Carlo DePinto
on April 19,1921 in New Jersey City,Hudson County,New Jersey.
Father Carlo born ± 1878 and mother Marie DePinto born ± 1892 immigrated
in the beginning of the last century to the U.S.A to start a new life.

According to the 1930 census the Depinto family had four children, Nicoletta born
± 1913, Sylvia ? born ± 1915, Natoli 1921, and the youngest doughter Angelina
born ±1922.
Natoli attended grammar school and prior to his enlistment in the U.S. Army he worked in the harbour as a longshoreman/stevedore.

On September,3 ,1944 the 102th Infantry Division arrived in Gourock,Renfrew County in Scotland,but the Division didn't disembark .
On September 9,1944 the Division moved to France and disembarked at Omaha Beach.
From Omaha Beach the Division moved to Valonges and after a short period of training near Valonges they moved to Theville were they arrived on September 26,1944.
By train, truck and foot they moved through France, Belgium and Holland -- destination: the Siegfried Line.
According the I.D.P.F Technical Sergeant Natoli De Pinto was Missing in action on February 28,1945 in the vicinity of Wickrath.
On March 17, 1945 the family received the dreadful message that their beloved son was missing in action.

On March 26,1945 there was enough evidence that Technical Sergeant Natoli De Pinto was Killed in action,50 days before his 24th birthday.
March 11,1945 Natoli De pinto is buried at the American cemetery and memorial in Margraten,Plot V,Row 1, Grave 14.

On July 29,1948 Natoli De Pinto was reburied to his final resting place in Margraten Plot C, Row 17, Grave 28.
Natoli De Pinto was awarded with the Good Conduct Medal and the Purple Heart Medal.


He is lovingly remembered by those who knew him and his family.
