Sgt George J. Law Jr. was a former Celanese employee. He entered the Army in January, 1942, and went overseas in January, 1944. Sgt Law was wounded in Germany on March 25, 1945 and died three days later. He left behind a wife and two sons. Sgt Law was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy.

His brother, David Law, had been reported missing in action over Burma war zone since March 29, 1945. He is commemorated at Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines.
