OBITUARY
Funeral services for William L. Van Vechten, retired mail clerk, will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Moore Mortuary. Entombment will be in Tower of Memories.
Mr. Van Vechten died Tuesday in Denver after a short illness. He was 73.
Born in Cohocton, N.Y., May 25, 1886, he received his early education there. He came to Denver in 1909.
He married Josephine A. Welch in Denver in 1910. She died in 1952.
He joined the Post Office Department in Denver in 1928. He retired in 1955.
He lived at 1730 Logan St.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Una Wilson and Mrs. Hazel Hastaker, both of Denver; and two nephews, Glen Goad of Alamosa and Forest Wilson of Northridge, Calif.
