Andrew J. Barrier was born in Texas and enlisted there for World War II; he served on a ship stationed in the South Pacific. He was married once then divorced without children before he married Mary Evelyn Gorham York, on 4-18-1973 in Phoenix, Arizona. By then he was a landscaper for the US Postal Service but soon retired to share a home with Mary and her son, Charles York. He was a Christian who attended the Pentecostal Church of God and a good provider to his wife. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack while mowing the lawn on 12-17-1993 in Phoenix, Arizona. He should be remembered for his service to country and family.
