Ball Turret Gunner aboard B-17G Flying Fortress #44-6027.

Shot down by anti-aircraft artillery flak (over?) Böhlen, (south of Liepzig ). Ship exploded and crashed eight miles east of Altenburg, Germany. Eight crew members were killed:
