Linda also had one half brother and two half sisters from our dads side in California.
Linda Lansdell, Mother of three. two girls Shawnda Lansdell, and Christy Lansdell and one boy (stillborn) in 1970.
Married 3 times, :Travis Chambers, married in the early 70's, :Chuck Lansdell, Married in the late 70's, and Last husband : John Poth, Married in the 90's.
Residence:
Linda was raised in Southern California, San Gabriel area, most of her life.
I remember her having one boyfriend Doug Gaffers, who she was with for several years. I guess Linda was around 18 at the time. They made a great couple.
Doug would sit for hours brushing Linda's long blonde hair. Our family really thought they would marry, but never did.
She had gone to live with our half sister Barbara when Linda was around 16, she lived in Oklahoma for several years before coming home to California.
Linda later moved to Emporia Kansas (Where I was living at the time) for about 2 years, and then moved back to California. Years later moving to Tahoe California, where she passed away.
Employed:
Linda worked as a hotel reservation clerk for the Hilton in Tahoe.
She married in Tahoe in the 90's to John Poth, but later they had separated.
She lived in Tahoe for the what was the remainder of her life. Linda loved Tahoe, thought it was the most beautiful place she had ever found.
She loved to gamble, playing those slots! That gave her great pleasure. You could find her in the Casino most any time she wasn't working.
Linda at the time had 2 grandchildren Sierra,(Who lives in Hawaii) and Lynda (was a baby at the time), she loved those kids with all her heart. That's all she talked about is her grandchildren.
She lived and did what she wanted most the time and was pretty happy, until she got sick.
She was forced to quit working at the Hotel when she became sick.
Linda came down with Kidney problems and had to put on Home Dialysis. She spent several times in the hospital for infections.
She suffered multiple complications from her chronic Illness, Prior to her passing.
Linda passed away at the hospital (estimated time) 6:30 pm on April 8th, 2000.
Linda was laid to rest at:
Eastside Memorial Park, in Minden, Douglas County, Nevada. Plot: map#4, section # 1449 lot #4.
Linda was my sister and I have missed her everyday. There is not a day I don't think of her. She is truly loved by all who knew her.
