PFC. HAROLD BERGMAN IS KILLED IN ACTION
Adams County Girl's Husband is Victim
Pfc. Harold L. Bergman, 28, of Fort Wayne, husband of Avonelle Beihold Bergman, daughter of William Beihold of the Winchester road, Adams county, was killed in action with Gen Patton's Third Army in France on Oct. 11.
Word of his death was received by relatives last evening. Pfc. Bergman had been overseas since last June.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a 20 month old daughter, who lived at the Beihold farm home on Decatur rural route one; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bergman, Fort Wayne; two brothers and two sisters.
Pfc. Bergman was a member of the Zion Lutheran church of Fort Wayne, and memorial services will be held there at a later date.
