He enlisted in the Army on March 21, 1944 at Fort Douglas, Utah. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Shipping and receiving clerk and also as Divorced, with dependents.

Theodore was "Killed In Action" in France during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
