Born in Helsinki, Finland, moved to Canada with father, Akseli Gustav Rauanheimo who was the first Consul from Finland to Canada. Kaleva, the name he used, came to US in late 1930's and married Florence Borrelli, December 13, 1936. Sons Raymond Mauri, Ronald Thomas, Robert Kaleva, Russell Edward and daughters Helen and Leslie Anne. Kaleva died by accidental drowning and was cremated. His remains were committed to the sea at the Point Pleasant Beach inlet in January, 1951, by Florence and Raymond.
