Parents John Avis and Annie Parett. Born in England and immigrated to Canada. Arrived in Buffalo, NY on 29 May 1913 and arrived in Niagra Falls, NY in June 1913 to apply to enter Canada. Lived in Toronto where his dad already had a residence. Served in the Canadian Army during WWI and died in France. He had two brothers that also served and both were wounded, one losing a leg.
