According to ATHOL IN WORLD WAR II, "Adams, Alfred E., Technician Fifth Grade, Anti-Aircraft Section of Army Ground Forces, Board 1. Born in Athol, March 20, 1919, son of Ernest and Lottie (Rolland) Adams. Was employed at the Union Twist Drill Company before entering military service, March 14, 1944. Battles and Campaigns: None. Decorations and Citations: American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, Victory Medal. Discharged April 13, 1946."
