Pearl was born to Joseph and Anna (Duhig) Reisdorff she was the oldest daughter and one of 13 children. She lived almost all her life in South Omaha, NE. When she was 15 she worked as a telegraph operator for Western Union in the Woodman of the World building in Omaha, NE. She married Glen Kidder in 1923 at Glenwood, Iowa and raised 5 children.
