SGT US MARINE CORPS WORLD WAR II Service Start Date: 1 Mar 1938
He is the youngest son of John Donald Ritchie and Carrie McIntosh from Buchanan County, Missouri.

Glenn lost both his parents at a young age and he and his brother Lawrence lived for a while with his father's sister Harriet Ritchie McCauley. I was fortunate to find Glenn in searching for my family. He told me how he remembered my father and how awful it was living with his aunt and her husband. He was very young and they treated he and his brother like servants.

His brother Lawrence and Glenn left as soon as they were old enough. Glenn joined the Marine Corp, he told me he was married and when his wife gave birth to his son Michael Ritchie, she died.

Later he married Francis. Glenn died suddenly when he had an operation that seemed to go well, then died I believe of a heart attack a day or so later.

He loved his flowers, garden and fruit trees. He was a lovely gentleman and Francis was very nice as well.
