Cecil was the Grandson of François-Xavier (Francis / Frank) Bibert. FXB moved from Alsace, France after the American Civil War and finally settled in Buntyn (now Memphis, TN). Cecil's mother, Martha (Mattie) Xavier Bibert married John Oliver Farrell.

Cecil was killed when his train crashed into another train stopped on the tracks just two days after arriving in France and just two weeks before the end of the war.

He has now returned to the homeland of his grandfather, François-Xavier Bibert.
