Stanford Adams was Killed in Action during the Mission to the Schweinfurt(Germany) Ball Bearings Factory, when they were hit by FLAK, severe damaged, they crashed in France, on 17 August 1943, and he is honored with an Air Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Navy & Marine Presidential Unit Citation, European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.
