Second Lieutenant Earnest R. Alexander served as a pilot (P-51) in the V Fighter Command (Far Eastern Air Force).

On March 11, 1945 he was turned over to the Japanese and was transported to a Unknown POW Camp where he died as a POW in Cp. unknown, on June 6, 1944. Recipient of the Purple Heart.
