Pvt Cecil F. Wulf was born on 28 April, 1920 in Rock Falls, Illinois.
He resided in Buffalo, NY when he enlisted and served in the 174th Infantry Regiment, Company "M", New York National Guard from 16 March, 1938 to February 1940. His employment recorded on the National Guard enlistment card was a carpenter. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard and then enlisted in the United States Army in February, 1940.
Pvt Wulf served with the 31st Infantry Regiment, Company L, 3d Battalion, Philippine Division. Serv# 6983525. This is the Regiment officially listed in his IDPF although some sources have him listed with the Headquarters Philippine Department.
Pvt Wulf was officially declared Missing In Action on 7 May 1942, "following the surrender of Corregidor". He was officially declared dead on 1 February, 1946 after four years of being Missing In Action and no remains had been identified.

He was the loving son of Frank and Mabel Wulf, and the loving brother of Roy, George, Jackey, Clara, and Ida. Cecil has lived on in the hearts of his family members throughout the generations since he's been gone.

Efforts to locate, identify, and return Cecil home for a proper burial are currently ongoing. These efforts will not cease until we are successful.
