During March, 1943 assigned to C Company, Infantry Battalion, Training Command, MCB Camp Elliott, CA. During June, 1943 assigned to the 20th Replacement Battalion.
During June, 1943 embarked Naval Transport at San Diego for movement overseas. 23 July, 1943 arrived Melbourne Australia and assigned to L Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division based at Mount Murtha. Promoted to Private First Class.
9 October, 1943 embarked Naval Transport. Arrived Cape Sudest, Oro Bay, New Guinea. 24 December, 1943 embarked an LST. 26 December, 1943 landed Beach Yellow One Cape Gloucester, New Britain D-Day and participated in combat operations until 25 April, 1944.
30 April, 1944 embarked USS DuPage (APA-41). 3 May, 1944 arrived at Pavuvu in the Russell Islands.
15 March, 1945 embarked Naval Trasport. 22-27 March, 1945 at Ulithi, Carolines. 15 September 1944 landed Beach Orange Two Peleliu D-Day and participated in combat operations until Killed in Action 22 September, 1944.

Body not recovered.
23 September 1949 Remains determined non-recoverable by Field Board.
