Amasa came to Whitman in 1895 after being employed by the Waltham Watch Company & later by Obed Lyon of Brackton. In 1898 he opened a jewelry & watch repair business in Whitman. He belonged to Mt. Hermon, Commandry, Knights of Malta & Plymouth Rock Loge, Knights of Pithias. Amasa and Lizzie were m. by rev. Hunnewell in Whitman where they resided until their deaths.
