Pvt. Neil McCage was a member of A Company, 192nd Tank Battalion. He transferred into the battalion from the 753rd Tank Battalion. He died when the Japanese hell ship he was on, the Arisan Maru, was hit by torpedoes from an American submarine. The Japanese refused to rescue the American POWs. Of the 1803 POWs on the ship, only nine survived the ship's sinking.
