During a heavy bombardment by the enemy of the area, the communication line between the battalions and group HQ was cut and the above-named NCO [Sgt 7/441 Robert Anthony FLEMING] and other 2 [WILSON and Pte 10/979 Hipo MOLE] volunteered to repair same. It was while carrying out these duties that all three men were wounded. Flemming seriously, and I would submit their names for some recognition for their gallant behaviour.
