Walter Lee Hill, 59, of White Deer died from a heart atack [sic] at 10 a.m. yesterday. He had lived in White Deer for 22 years.
Mr. Hill, who was a member of the Skellytown IOOF and White Deer Baptist Church, was born Sept. 10, 1899 in Stegler, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche of White Deer; three daughters, Mrs. V.E. Raines, Pampa, Mrs. Naomi Russell, Miss Ramona Hill, both of White Deer; three sons, all of white Deer, Thomas, Billie, and Alton; four brothers, AL., Oklahoma City, Okla., Ellis, Bell Flower, Calif., Clint, who is in the Army, Wendell, Long Beach, Calif.; six sisters, Mrs. Celmie Dermid, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. J.W. Butcher, LaMesa; Mrs. C.M. Estes, White Deer; Mrs Paul Gibbs, Holtville, Calif., Mrs. Joy Ragsdale, Delano, Calif., Mrs. Pearl Phillips, Central Point, Calif. and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow in the White Deer Baptist Church with Rev. L.V. Ratliff, pastor of the Amarillo Highland Baptist Church and Rev. E.J. Keith, White Deer Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Duenkel-Carmichael Funeral Home in White Deer Cemetery with Oddfellow graveside services.
