Albertine Carolyn Becquet was the daughter of Norbert Joseph Becquet and Emma Jane Dufrin of Garden City, Kansas. She was known to many of her friends and family as "Cubby".

In Garden City, Albertine attended Lincoln School, Andrew Sabine Junior High School, graduated from Garden city High School in 1934 and attend Garden City Junior College.

In 1936 she supervised the Federal Writers Project, which were a group of volunteers who had an interest in writing about the local history. She had many happy memories of growing up in Garden City and her family enjoyed hearing stories of long ago.

She lived in Wichita for a number of years before returning to Garden City. In the hair-styling business for 46 years, she owned and operated the Plaza Beauty Shop in Garden City from 1968 to 1970. In 1975, she opened Albertine Beauty Nook in her home.

Although she was a member of the Presbyterian Church for many years, she changed her membership to the First Christian Church in Garden City during the last few years of her life. She was a life time member of the Order of Eastern Star # 359.

On 8 May 1937, Albertine married William Daniel Snyder. They divorced in 1957. She married Fred Willard on 10 Dec 1966. He died in 1975. In 1983, she married Robert Williams. He survived her passing. She was also survived by one daughter (Kathye Snyder-Knight), one son (Ronald Snyder), two grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, Dr. N. J. Becquet of Little Rock, Arkansas. Her parents and brother, William Forestier Becquet preceded her in death.

A graveside funeral was held 20 Mar 2001 at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
