mr. and mrs. Otto Charles Whipple, long time residents of Montesano, were honored Friday night by their friends and neighbors as they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home on Marcy st. they were married Nov. 20, 1892, at Deer Lodge, Tn. and came to Montesano 32 years ago last month from Mobile,Al. mr. Whipple has been a carpenter and contractor here since that time. next March will be observed his 32nd anniversary as a member of the Eagles lodge. mrs. Whipple is active in the Rebekah lodge. with them to celebrate their anniversary were their son, James of Monte, and their daughter mrs Reba Anderson of Seattle. they have 2 grandsons, Staff Sargeant Donald Whipple in the army, and Kenneth Whipple attending high school here. in observance of the golden wedding anniversary, the couple was honored at a party at their home by a large group of neighbors and friends. Monte. Nov. 24th. [Montesano Vidette] children: Kenneth 1895, Menan Leroy 1897 ,Reba Eugenia 1904, Curtis S 1914, Monte. Dark hair, blue eyes. Alice went to live with Reba in the university dist in Seattle.
