Witnesses said that Mr. Kingsley became ill while descending from the hall on the second floor to the main floor and collapsed on the stairs. Dr. Arthur E. Aey was summoned but Mr. Kingsley was dead upon the physician's arrival. Dr. George H. Gildersleeve, medical examiner, also was summoned. Mr. Kingsley was born in this city, July 10, 1919, the son of James Albert and Mary McCalister Kingsley. He received his education in local schools and in May 1946 was wed to the former Teres Lizzio of this city, who survives him. The deceased was a former employee of th Van Tassel Leather company, but, of recent date, was self employed as a general contractor. He was a veteran of World War II, having seen service in the U. S. army. Mr. Kingsley was a communicant of St. James Episcopal church, Poquetanuck. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John Orrin; a sister, Mrs. Mary Taylor; three brothers, Frederick, Edward and Bert Kingsley, all of this city.
