A son of the Cornelius and Virginia Perry Thompson, h was born Oct. 16, 1881, in Nelson County.
A farmer, Mr. Thompson was a member of Wintergreen Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Daisy Marshall Thompson; a daughter, Mrs. Maury (Louise) Truslow, Nellys Ford; two stepdaughters, Mrs. John (Arcain) Willis, Waynesboro, Mrs. Joseph (Maggie) Puckett, Nellys Ford; two stepsons, Harry Marshall, Nellys Ford, George Marshall, Charlottesville; four sisters, Mrs. Luther (Nannie) Puckett, Mrs. Virgie Hughes, Mrs. Walter (Susan) Puckett, Mrs. Birtie Fitzgerald, all of Nellys ford; two grandchildren; eight step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at three p. m. Sunday (April 3, 1955) in Wintergreen Christian Church by the Rev. Elwood Campbell, interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home, Waynesboro until the funeral time.
