Rev. Msgr. Paschal Acquavia, the son of Rocco and Angeline Rado Acquavia, attended Christ the King Seminary, St. Bonaventure University and was ordained on May 22, 1948 at St. Joseph New Cathedral, Buffalo New York, by Bishop John O'Hara.

He served on the Buffalo Missionary Apostolate at St. Mary, Cattaraugus. He was assistant pastor at St. Anthony of Padua, Batavia and Our Lady of Loretto, Buffalo. From 1951 to 1955, he served at St. James Parish, Jamestown, and Nativity of Our Blessed Virgin Mary, Buffalo for four years.

Msgr Acquavia became administrator of St. Anthony Parish in Batavia in 1959, and was appointed pastor in 1965. He served there until his retirement in 1997. He also served in several Diocesan boards and offices. He was 79 at the time of his passing.
