She was a loving grandmother and was known for maintaining a large walk-in closet full of toys for use by her many grand-children, including a large set of Lincoln Logs. She suffered a severe stroke while visiting her daughter in Kansas City about four years before her death, she spent most of the next four years in a nursing home, and died Tues., July 19, 1960.

Mrs. Mamie Hutcherson 86 of Marshall, MO., died last night at a nursing home at 100 East Thirty-sixth. Mrs. Hutcherson was born in Malta Bend, MO., and lived in Marshall 17 years. She lived in Kansas City the last three years. Mrs. Hutcherson was a member of the First Baptist Church, Marshall, and of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Lura Harrison of Marshall, Mrs. Mary Scott of Sweet Springs, MO., Mrs. Edna Blackburn of Kansas City, MO., and Mrs. Louise Craig of Modesto, CA., and three sons: William C. Hutcherson and Ralph Leroy Hutcherson both of Marshall, MO., Milton Hutcherson of Modesto, CA.: and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
