Manley E. Rudesill Dies At Ladysmith Funeral Here Friday

Manley E. Rudesill, age 74, a well known resident of the Winter area, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Ladysmith on Tuesday, March 21.

He was born on March 27, 1886 at Baldwin, Wis., and at an early age moved with his parents to North Dakota. In 1919 he was united in marriage to Doris Rager at New Rockford, N.D. They resided at Warwick, N.D. for about one year and then moved to Hammond and Roberts, Wis., where they resided for about 8 years.

In December of 1929 the family moved to Winter and have resided here since.

Mr. Rudesill was employed for a while by the county highway department and later at Walter Bros. at Radisson.

Survivors are his wife, Doris; two daughters, Mrs. Delores Carpenter of Ojibwa, and Mrs Phyllis Buckholtz of Winter; one son, Keith of Ladysmith; one brother, Lloyd of Baldwin; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Green of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs Lavern Rowig of N.D.; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. One son, Ernest, preceded him in death in 1957.

Mr. Rudesill will lie in state at the Anderson Funeral Chapel in Hayward from Thursday at 2 p.m. until Friday noon when he will be removed to the Winter Presbyterian Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Rev. John Koch of Cornell will officiate. Interment will take place in the Winter Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be G.D. McClaine, Orvin Carnestorp, Adrian Pearson, Fred Pearson. Robert Ruegger and Jerry Biller.
