Rosenberg Herald, December 9, 1938:

Death relieved the suffering of Fred L. Aylor, 59, resident of Alvin for the past 15 years, at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, November 29. Mr. Aylor had been in failing health for several months.

Funeral services for Mr. Aylor were held Wednesday afternoon, November 30, from the Froberry Funeral Home in Alvin, with Rev. P.M. Campbell officiating. The body was carried to Orchard for interment. Pallbearers were Henry Baker, Earl Kirk, Bill Isaacs, Will Bennett, Buddy Moore, Will Heller, Tom Staples, and Frank Sellers.

Surviving are his wife; five sons, Fred L. Aylor of Bay City, Walter, Leslie, and Albert Aylor of Alvin; two daughters, Mrs. A.W. Newman and Mrs. George Hayes of Alvin; four brothers, T.S. Aylor of San Saba, Geo. E., Sam E., and Felix K. Aylor of Orchard; four sisters, Mrs. H.G. Tuthill of Lyle, Wash., Mrs. Ruth Campbell and Mrs. W.B. Wooster of Alvin, and Mrs. A.W. Johnson of Orchard; and two grandchildren.
