Charles Richard Chuck Elliott

Charles Richard Elliott, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 13, 2004.

Chuck was born on December 11, 1933 in Battle Creek, MI, the son of Horace and Ruby (De Long) Elliott. Chuck answered his country's call and proudly served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.

He had worked for 22 years as a machine operator at Eaton Corporation. Since his retirement he enjoyed working at Hardings, where he met a lot of people and made many friends. He was a member of Kalamazoo Valley Family Church, where he served as a parking lot attendant.

On March 2, 1980, he married Beverly Jean Long, who survives Him. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Doug Hilton of Climax, Debbie, Margie, Robert Pillars of Elkhart, IN, Donald Pillars of Elkhart, IN, Scott (Monica)Burchard of Elkhart, IN, Laurie (Carl) Krohn of Kalamazoo; 14 grandchildren; sister, Pat (Richard) Simmons of Hopkns; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with the Rev. April Wedel officiating.

Interment with military honors at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.

Friends may call on the family Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Those wishing to make lasting gifts in Chuck's name are asked to remember the American Cancer Society or Borgess Visiting Nurses.
