Daughter of William H. Sapp and Mary Fletcher. She married William Hiram Calvin on Feb. 22, 1891, in Ashland, Boone Co., MO.

MRS. W. H. CALVIN DIES AFTER ILLNESS (Hattie, died: July 23, 1950)

Mrs. W. H. Calvin, 76, of 1403 Hinkson Ave., sister of Postmaster Allen W. Sapp, died at 7:45 a.m. yesterday at the Boone County Hospital after an illness of one year.

Mrs. Calvin was born in Ashland, May 30, 1874. Her husband was a merchant in Ashland for several years and later conducted a business in Columbia.

Surviving are six children, Mrs. Paul Maxwell, Mrs. J. Kenneth Old, Mrs. Paul Allen and A. W. Calvin, all of Columbia; Mrs. Otto Peed, and Fred Calvin of Kansas City.

She was the sister of G. Bert Sapp, Mrs. B. P. Blythe, Allen W. Sapp, and William W. Sapp, all of Columbia; and Mrs. Blanche McCall, of Washington, D. C.

Mrs. Calvin had ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She joined the Liberty Primitive Baptist Church of Ashland in early childhood. She was a member of the White Shrine and the Rebekah Lodge, and was one of the organizers of the local Rainbow Girls Club.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Christian Church with the Rev. Edward Coffman and Elder Lloyd Sapp officiating.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Maxwell, Dr. Howard Wilcox, Bert Wilcox, William F. Roberts, Thurmon Hall, and E. E. Delmund.

The body will remain in Parker's Chapel until the services.

MRS. W. H. CALVIN DIES AT HOSPITAL

Mrs. W. H. Calvin, 76, 1403 Hinkson avenue, a life-long resident of Boone County, died at 7:45 o'clock yesterday morning at the Boone County hospital following an illness of a year.

In addition to being a member of one of the pioneer families of Boone county, Mrs. Calvin was one of the organizers of the local Rainbow Girls club and was a memb er of White Shrine and Rebecca Lodge.

She was born in Ashland, May 30, 1874, to William H. And Mary Fletcher Sapp.

Mrs. Calvin was preceded in death by her husband, who was a merchant in Ashland for many years and later conducted a business here.

She is survived by three brothers, G. Bert Sapp, Allen W. Sapp and William Wood Sapp, all of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. B. P. Blythe of Columbia and Mrs. Blanche McCall of Washington, D. C.; four daughters, Mrs. Paul Maxwell, Mrs. Kenneth Old, Mrs. Paul Allen, all of Columbia, and Mrs. Otto (?) Peed of Kansas City; and two sons, A. W. Calvin of Columbia and Fred Calvin of Kansas City.

Ten grandchildren and three great grant children also survive.

One sister, Mrs. D. B. Wilcox, preceded her in death.
