IN MEMORIAM,

Mark Wesley Lyde III, 39, of Middletown, passed away Aug. 10, 2010, at his home with his family by his bedside after a brave lengthy battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 28, 1971, a beloved son to Debbie Carmon and Mark Wesley Lyde Sr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted loving wife, Elizabeth Kimberly Blouin-Lyde; two adored sons, Kyle Anthony Lyde and Benjamin Wesley Lyde; and one daughter, Melissa Lyde of Germany; his sister, Eyana Carmon and his brother, Ashley, both of New Haven; a dedicated mother-in-law, Pamela Ann Flagg; and two committed fathers-in-law, Ronald Blouin and Dan Flagg, both of Wallingford; sister-in-law, Stacey Flagg-Shields; three nieces, Zoe Lynn Shields of Wallingford, Janae and Mikayla Carmon of New Haven; a nephew, Cameron Carmon of New Haven; dear friend and brother, Terrance Collins; cousins, Sheila Carmon and Deane Carmon-Felder, who were very close and dear to his heart; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by aunt, Shirley Ann Carmon, who
was his inspiration; grandmothers, Helen Lyde and Janie Mae Carmon; grandfather, Wesley Lyde; and great-grandfather, Benjamin Carmon.

Mark Lyde proudly served his country in the Bravo 610 ADA unit stationed in Ansbach, Germany, and is a veteran of Desert Storm. He is being buried with full military honors. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, 11 a.m., at Victory Christian Church, 191 Meriden Road, Middlefield, CT 06455. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will take place Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at the Middletown State Veteran Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St., New Haven, CT.
