Joseph J. Bishop, 90, of the Glen Mills section of Concord, died Aug. 9 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

Born, raised and educated in Chester, Mr. Bishop lived in Brookhaven for several years before moving to the Glen Mills section of Concord in 1989.

Mr. Bishop worked as a foreman for the PECO power plant in Chester for 30 years before retiring. He previously worked at the Baldwin Shipyard in Eddystone, where he met his wife.

A family man, Mr. Bishop enjoyed playing games, cards and solving crossword puzzles. He was an avid sports fan who particularly liked baseball.

Mr. Bishop was the son of the late William and Mary Bishop and the brother of the late Ethel Bishop and Emma Taylor.

Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Yolanda Palmonari Bishop of the Glen Mills section of Concord; daughter, Janet; sisters, Sara, Margaret, Florence; two grandchildren.

Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
