Catherine L. Sykes, age 84 of Hockessin, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, died Friday, September 21, 2001 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Hockessin. Mrs. Sykes was a homemaker and a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Stanton, DE. Her husband, Arthur A. Sykes, Sr. passed away in 1988. She is survived by her son, Arthur A. Sykes, Jr. and his wife, Katherine T. There will be a service at 11 am on Tuesday, September 25 in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Kirkwood Hwy. & Duncan Rd., where friends may call after 10 am. Burial will be in the Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery across from Concord Mall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 107 S. Mark St., Wilmington, DE 19801.
