Ruben K. Ashton
Ruben K. Ashton, 82, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. B. Carnahan of 317 South Penn street, yesterday morning at 3 o'clock. Mr. Ashton was born and spent the greater part of his life in Belmont county, Ohio, near Colerain. He moved to Marshall county, this State, about 15 years ago, where he lived on a farm. Mr. Ashton was one of the oldest members of Pleasant Valley Methodist Episcopal church of Marshall county.
He leaves the following children. Mrs. W. B. Carnahan of the island, Mrs. I. L. Kiger of Sherrard, Mrs. C. S. Helsley of Martins Ferry, Ohio. Mrs. R. L. Criswell of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. J. R. Sengewalt of this city, George of Colerain and James of Martins Ferry, Ohio. One sister, Miss Elizabeth, of Brookside, Ohio, also survives.
Funeral services will be held in Mt. Olivet church, Caldwell's Run, Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
