Walter Alexander Chatelain, 81, 1860 Nevada St., died Oct. 27 in a Salt Lake nursing home of natural causes. Born Aug. 3, 1889, Ogden, to Alexander and Lola Bernetta Allen Chatelain. Married Emma Carveth Aug. 8, 1945, Salt Lake City. Reetired superintendent, American District Telegraph Co. Member LDS Church. Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Salt Lake City; Jackson, Wyo.; Denver; foreign military service; Clearfield; two brothers of , both Salt Lake City; one brother of Washington; sister of Murray; 25 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Friday 2 p.m., 4760 S. State, where friends call Thursday 6-8 p.m., Friday hour prior to services.
