James Brownlee served on the Constitutional Convention to write the Indiana State Constitution in 1816 and in the Indiana House of Representives from Franklin Co. 1816-1817 and from Fayette co. 1823-1824. He moved to Kentucky in 1810, to Mississippi Territory, returned to Kentucky abt 1815 and moved to Indiana in 1815. He was a Mill Buider
