Forrest M. Ogburn, 89, of Gettysburg, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at his home. He was the husband of A. Ruth (Giegley) Ogburn.
Born May 19, 1931, in Kenmar, N.D., he was the son of the late Amos C. and Lydia A. (Kauffman) Ogburn.
He was a member of Mummasburg Church, where he served as minister from 1961 to 1998. He was a retired dairy farmer.
Surviving also are a son, Daniel R. Ogburn of Gettysburg; four daughters, Grace L. Miller of New Oxford, Elsie J. Horst of Gettysburg, and Janet I. Sensenig and Ruth Brougher, both of New Oxford; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Hartman and Sue Collins, both of Gettysburg; two brothers, Earl Ogburn of Hopewell, Va., and Walter Ogburn of Biglerville.
He was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Mummasburg Mennonite Church, Mummasburg. The Rev. Bishop Allen J. Fleagle will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the church.
