WIDOW OF JOHN H. BAKER DIES AT GOOD OLD AGE - Had Been an Invalid and Almost Helpless For Twenty Years - Native of Wolfsville

BURIED AT PRICES CHURCH

MRS. MARY CLINE BAKER, widow of John H. Baker, died at her home on Middle street, about 10 o'clock Thursday night of double pneumonia, aged 72 years, 11 months and 12 days.

She had been an invalid and almost helpless from rheumatism for twenty years and for the past few years was nearly blind. She was taken ill with pneumonia two weeks ago.

Mrs. Baker was born near Wolfsville, Washington county, Md., April 10, 1839, her maiden name being Cline. She was married to John H. Baker while a resident of Wolfsville. She and her husband resided for a number of years in Washington county, Md., near Leitersburg and other places, and for several years in Greencastle, but the greater part of their married life was spent in Waynesboro or vicinity. Mr. Baker, who was one of the best known residents of this place, died about a year ago.

Mrs. Baker was a member of the Lutheran church.

She is survived by three children: Misses Elizabeth and Margaret, at home, and Samuel C. Baker, Wayne avenue, and by a number of brothers and sisters in the vicinity of Wolfsville, Md.

Funeral, Saturday, meet at house at 9 a.m.; services there at 9:30, conducted by Rev. C. H. Rockey. Interment in Prices church cemetery.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend without further notice.
