Carol Jean Alexander 78, of Midland, died Saturday morning, August 7, 2021 at Bickford Cottage. She was born December 16, 1942, in Midland, the daughter of Lowell and Goldie (Martin) Morse. She had worked as a technical secretary in the City of Midland's Planning Department for 23 years. Carol was an active member of the Floyd Church of God, enjoyed horses in her younger years and making the weekly rounds of rummage sales with her sister Linda. She had a calling to help others and had sewn thousands of "pillowcase dresses" for Haitian orphanages over the years. She will be lovingly remembered for spoiling her grandchildren, as well.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Merlin Smith, Kenneth Rydman, and William Alexander, and her granddaughter Sarah Rydman.
Funeral services will take place at the Floyd Church of God, 1015 W. Chippewa River Rd. Pastor Larry Moe will officiate with burial at Lee Township Cemetery.
