Betty was born May 20, 1929 in Pitcher, Oklahoma. She and Adolf B. Adair were married December 27, 1949 in Archer City, Texas. She was a member of the IOOF Lodge and the Rebekah Lodge. She also was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Betty was a retired cook for Pleasant Hill Nursing Home.
Her parents, Thomas and Myrtle Compton, husband, Adolf, twin daughters and a granddaughter, Susan Sadler preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son Benny Adair and wife, Linda of Jarrell, Texas; daughter, Sophia Sadler and husband, Bobby of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandsons, Michael Adair and wife Teresa of Georgetown, Texas, Kenneth Adair of Jarrell, Texas, Robert Sadler and Bryan Sadler both of Wichita Falls, Texas and Jason Adair and wife, Amber of Georgetown, Texas; 8 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, O.T. Adair, Jr. and wife, Zelda of Lake Arrowhead; sister-in-law, Louise Glazener of Wichita Falls and longtime friends Anna Andrews and Joyce Chambers.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls and Trinity United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Sun, June 20, 2010 at Dutton Funeral Home.
