Margaret M. (Peg) Mazziotti of Toledo, died February 17, 1999 at The Toledo Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 14, 1922 in Toledo to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weilant, she attended Toledo Public Schools and the University of Toledo. A long time Mobile Meals volunteer and a participant for 25 years in continuing education programs at the University of Toledo. Peg loved traveling with her husband and family and particularly enjoyed visiting Paris. Her home was always filled with the many plants - especially orchids - that she was so skilled at growing. She admired and studied the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, and had toured most of his homes and buildings.
Cardinals and owls were among her favorite birds and she took great pleasure in collecting these birds in art. Peg. provided a year - round backyard bird feeder that attracted squirrels and a wide variety of birds. She was skilled at needlework and happily shared her creations with her family. Peg was the center of her large family, and they were the joy of her life. Whether as First Lady of the Society of Automotive Engineers or as a participant at her weekly exercise class, she had a gift for developing close and enduring friendships. Always gracious and loving, she will be sadly missed, but will always be with us in our hearts.
She was the beloved wife of Philip J. Mazziotti; loving mother of Maria (Albert) Wopshall, Marcia (Dennis) Ward, Melinda (Frank Kekes) Mazziotti, Marilyn (Bill Klecka) Mazziotti, Missy Mazziotti, Michael F. Mazziotti; Matthew C. (Annette) Mazziotti; dear grandma to Phil, Heidi, Steve, Sara, Henry, Monica, Gina, and Tony; proud great grandmother to Cody, Nicholas and Natalie.
