Scherr Service Set Wednesday
HUNTINGTON - Funeral services were scheduled at 2 p.m. tomorrow for Harry Scherr, prominent Huntington attorney who died yesterday.
Scherr, 82, came to Huntington in 1923 from Williamson where he had practiced law for 20 years.
He was a former Assistant Mingo County prosecutor and was a member of the State Republican Executive Committee from 1916 to 1920.
Mr. Scherr is survived by a son, Harry Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Kirk Wiles of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Jennings Rise of Huntington; a sister, Mary Arnold Scherr of Charleston; and eight grandchildren. He was a senior member of the law firm of Scherr, Meek and Vinson.
