Wife of Cabell Lawyer Dies

Mrs. Harry Scherr, Sr., 77, wife of a widely known Huntington attorney, died unexpectedly yesterday at her home of a heart attack.
A native of North Carolina, she came with Mr. Scherr to Williamson when he began practicing law there and in association with the late Congressman Wells Goodykoontz former the law firm of Goodykoontz, Scherr and Slaven. In 1925 the Scherrs moved to Huntington where he is a senior partner in the law firm of Scherr, Meek and Vinson.
Mr. and Mrs. Scherr recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Harry Scherr Jr., also a Huntington attorney; two daughters, Mrs. O. Jennings Rife, wife of a Huntington attorney, and Mrs. Kirkpatrick Wiles of Dayton, Ohio, and a brother, Charles L. Walls of Alton, Ill.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Klingle-Carpenter Mortuary in Huntington and burial will be in Woodmere Cemetery there.
Rosa's parents were William Pinkney and Josephine Barber Walls.
